Sanjana (she/her) is a second-year psychology student at College of the Canyons, where she will be graduating this spring. Sanjana currently serves as Regional Affairs Director for Region VI of the Student Senate for California Community Colleges (SSCCC), where she advocates for over 2 million students across the state. At College of the Canyons, she also serves as the Student Trustee and helped shape district wide policies and initiatives that prioritized student success, equity, and access. Sanjana coordinated town halls, facilitated intercollegiate collaboration, and ensured that student concerns are brought directly to policy makers in the Sacramento. 

Currently, Sanjana is a Behavioral Therapist for Lumary Therapy, where she supports autistic children in building communication, social, and emotional regulation skills. Her work is grounded in empathy, patience, and a strong belief in every child's potential. She plans to intern in Assemblywoman Schiavo's office over the summer and is excited to expand her interest in the policy environment. 

When Sanjana is not attending board meetings or working with clients, she loves reading, cherishing time with her loved ones, and traveling. She aspires to continue a career in public service and mental health, combining policy and care to build a more inclusive and sustainable future for all.
